Shipping
This ship sadly won't be giving us a tow, but it will be required to ship Lady Jayne from the UK to California and to return her home to the UK from Hawaii.
The anticipated cost of this is £25,000.
Satellite comms
Communications mid ocean is essential!
With no support boat, It is our life line to the race organisers, rescue services and to family, friends and supporters back home. We shall need to rent satellite phones and a high speed global data and voice service called a BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network)
The anticipated cost is £5,000.
Boat Prep
Atlantic Campaigns race rules state we have to carry essential spares and maintenance items. These include spare oars and outriggers, and well as a para-anchor and new and certified life raft and life jackets for our safety in the advent of an emergency.
Anticipated cost £10,500.
